Sheet Materials

The machines at Lydwood are capable of machining a huge range of sheet materials.  

We have accumulated an extensive library of cutters which cater for most of the components that we encounter. However we are always adding to this inventory when an item needs a specific cut.  

Some of the most recently used sheet materials include:  

• MDF in all thicknesses - plain and dyed and from the spectrum of grades available.
• Veneered MDF especially oak, sapele and cherry
• Plywood ranging from Far-Eastern to top grade birch
• Melamine faced MDF
• Chipboard
• Densified Wood
• Tufnol 

It never ceases to amaze us the huge number of things that can be produced from the seemingly humble sheet of MDF or plywood!!
